Local 1180’s March 26 Legislative Breakfast brought together more than a dozen City Council members, Council Speaker Adrienne Adams, and State Attorney General Letitia “Tish” James for a morning of conversation, connection, and advocacy.
2025 Equal Pay Day Rally
Rain couldn’t dampen the energy at Local 1180’s 19th annual Equal Pay Day Rally, co-sponsored with PowHer NY. Union leaders, activists, and City Hall officials packed the rotunda to call out the persistent gender pay gap and push for policies that ensure fairness and opportunity for all. The message was clear: equal pay is not just a women’s issue — it’s a human right.
2025 Stop the Cuts Rally
On March 15, Local 1180 members joined more than 10,000 union and community activists in Lower Manhattan to demand Congress and the White House stop the cuts and attacks on working families. Led by CWA District 1, the march sent a clear message: when labor is under attack, we fight back.
