The Education Fund will continue to offer Exam Prep Courses and will continue to provide assistance on Completing Education and Experience Examinations , as needed, and as scheduled by DCAS and SCA. Virtual Prep Sessions will be conducted, weekday evenings and Saturday mornings, addressing content collected from the notice of examinations.

Prep for Multiple-Choice Tests

No test-taking secret or gimmick can substitute for thorough preparation.

Multiple-choice tests usually consist of a question or statement to which you respond by selecting the best answer from among a number of choices. Multiple-choice test typically assesses what you know, whether or not you understand (comprehension), and your ability to apply what you have learned (application).

Certain questions may need to be answered on the basis of documents or other information supplied by the examiners. These types of questions will assess managerial capabilities. In order to answer questions, candidates may be required to compile, compare, and evaluate information derived from various sources; determine which information is relevant to the situation presented in the question; and choose the best solution to the question or problem.

Prep on Completing Education and Experience Examinations

DCAS and SCA have simplified and computerized Education & Experience Examination process.
DCAS exam candidates can take exams, using their personal computers, or the computers at DCAS’ Testing Facilities.

SCA exam candidates, report as scheduled, by the organization to take the exam, using the organization’s computers.

Targeted Audience/Advance Preparation:  This collection was developed to provide the exam candidate with test-taking-techniques and preparation tools on identifying skills, knowledge, and experience for civil service tests.
