Training
& Education
Local 1180 offers
a host of programs and benefits for its members to enable them to advance
their education and further their careers. In this section of the website,
you will find information on all these programs and links to registration
forms and claim forms to sign up and take full advantage of everything
the union offers. The local's educational programs are funded and administered
through the union's Education Fund
and, like the union's other benefit funds, are paid for by contributions
made by our employers. Those contributions are negotiated as part of the
union's contracts with various employers. Local 1180's Education Committee
is chaired by First Vice President Linda Jenkins.
