Earn
your BA at the Center for Worker Education The Center for Worker Education (CWE) is part of City College (CCNY) of the City University of New York (CUNY), but it's located in downtown Manhattan. The program offers Bachelor's degrees tailored to the needs of working adults: 4-credit evening and Saturday courses which meet just once a week, individual advisement, small classes, and a wide range of concentrations all leading to a CCNY bachelor's degree.
Upcoming admissions workshops:
The workshops will be held at the CWE office, 25 Broadway, on the 7th floor, in lower Manhattan. Call 212-625-1444 to make an appointment for one of these workshops and find out what to bring. Local 1180 members who earn their BA through CWE may be eligible for some assistance through Local 1180's education benefits. They may be reimbursed $200 per semester for college tuition, and $25 per semester for book expenses. (For more on the union's educational benefits, click here.) Back to Training & Education page
