Individual Benefit Reviews

Benefits in Brief:

Be aware that during this month if you are over 65 you will be getting mailers from Medicare about their open enrollment. They send them to EVERYONE over 65 but it is not for you.  The Medicare Open Enrollment is for people who are not covered under city sponsored health plans.  Your benefits from the city have added bonuses that the other plans don’t have.  Even if they are offering $0 copay & $0 deductible and making it look so wonderful, it still falls short of what you are getting from the city.  Even if your sister/friend/neighbor did it and says it is great, don’t make a move until you call and get more information about what the change would mean for you.  Also, if you are unhappy with your plan for any reason, note that the NYC Health Benefits Open Enrollment is November 1- 30, 2018.
