Local 1180 launches new Organizing Committee
April 2007
Local 1180 has launched a new Organizing Committee as a means to seek out workplaces that could be organized into the union.
Committee members will help to develop outreach literature and share their experiences of being in a union with other workers who might want to form a union on their job. All Local 1180 members are invited to join the committee to help make the union bigger and more powerful.
The next meeting will take place at the Local 1180 office at 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 24. Meetings after that will all take place on the last Tuesday of the month.
