City
contract ratified; retro payout this summer
June
2004
Ballots for the contract agreement reached between the city and Local 1180 on May 10 (see story) were mailed to members on June 7 and were due back June 21. They were counted June 22 by the American Arbitration Association. The final tally was 2951 FOR the new contract and 341AGAINST. The contract is thus ratified.
The $1,000 signing bonus will be paid with the July 16 payroll. The retroactive raises will be paid sometime in August; an exact payout date has not yet been set. Local 1180 will post that information as soon as we have it.
