Due process for provisionals at Dept of Ed
February 2006
The Department of Education and the unions representing non-pedagogical employees (including Local 1180) reached an agreement in principle in November on the working-conditions contract covering July 2002 through June 2005. The most significant change is that provisionals will now have due process rights after five years on the job. The contract is expected to be signed soon.
