AJOS representation election
to be held in March
February 2005

The Office of Collective Bargaining has announced that the representation election for the Associate Job Opportunity Specialist title will be held in March. Notices of the election will be sent out by OCB on February 15, 20005 by regular mail to HRA locations where AJOS employees are working. These notices are to be posted in the work location until March 26, 2005. Voting will be conducted by a mail ballot. Balloting will be conducted according to the following schedule:

March 4, 2005: OCB will send ballots by regular mail to all active AJOS employees as of 12/25/04.
March 21, 2005: Date by which employees should make request for substitute ballot.
March 25, 2004: Ballots must be postmarked by this date to be valid.
April 4, 2005, 1:00 pm: Ballots cast by employees in the AJOS title will be counted.

If an employee does not receive a ballot in the mail and believes they are an eligible voter, they should contact the Office of Collective Bargaining at (212) 306-7160 by March 21, 2005.

Eligibility to Vote

Employees in the title of Associate Job Opportunity Specialist who were employed by HRA during the payroll period ending December 25, 2004, and who are still employed on March 4, 2005, will be eligible to vote, including employees who did not work during said period because of illness, vacations or temporary leave.
